God's Design and Purpose for Man in the World
Genesis 1:26 - NLT
Then God said,
"Let us make people in our image,
to be like ourselves. They will be masters
over all life -- the fish in the sea,
the birds in the sky, and all the livestock,
wild animals, and small animals."
Ephesians 3:10, 11 - NLT
God's purpose was to show his wisdom
in all its rich variety to all the rulers and
authorities in the heavenly realms.
They will see this when Jews and Gentiles
are joined together in his church. This was
his plan from all eternity, and it has now
been carried out through
Christ Jesus our Lord.
We've all asked...
Is This All?

I see people walking, without any purpose,
Without joy or laughter or love.
They don't seem to care if they are oppressed,
Or if the stars are shining above.
Their purpose in life is to merely exist.
Earn wages and feed their young.
They don't see others passing by,
Or hear the songs left unsung.
We tell ourselves "This is what I must do.
Don't get involved; they don't need me".
And resolve to the fact that this is life.
Content to be driftwood at sea.
Is this what God has planned for us?
Is this what pleases Him most?
That we, in His image, His most precious prize
Should wander on earth as a ghost?
Was His Heart sent down to be broken and bruised
So that we might "merely survive"?
NO! He sent us His Son, Jesus Christ
To uplift, bring joy and REVIVE!
Reach out your hand to those passing by;
Let Jesus be your guide.
God wants us to live with peace and success,
To be whole and happy inside.
Next time you see someone wander by
Without purpose, joy or love
Smile or wave; give them a sign, that
Yes, there IS more — it comes from above!
