Jesus IS Lord!
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.”

Can Curses Be Blessings In Disguise?
When God and His favor are not important to us, He cannot give us His blessings. He will not force Himself upon us. We were given a Free Will. Satan, on the other hand, will impose his will upon our lives without being requested, in the absence of God's protection. What the following verses are telling us is that without God's protective hand, Satan can do everything within his power to destroy us. God protects those who give Glory, Honor and Praise (Thanks) to Him - those who love Him. Seek God's forgiveness and ask Jesus to rule in your life, giving Satan NO PLACE.

Poverty - Blessing or Curse?
Deuteronomy 28:15-19 - NLT
But if you refuse to listen to the Lord your God
and do not obey all the commands and laws I am giving you today,
all these curses will come and overwhelm you.
You will be cursed in the towns and in the country.
You will be cursed with baskets of empty fruit,
and with kneading bowls empty of bread.
You will be cursed with few children and barren fields.
You will be cursed with infertile herds and flocks.
You will be cursed wherever you go,
both in coming and in going.
Note: God doesn't say He will curse us. He warns us that curses will 'come and overwhelm you' if you are not obedient; (if you have rejected God, He can't lift a finger to help you! It's your choice, not God's.) God knows that Satan will attempt to destroy everything that God cherishes. In the absence of God's protection, Satan moves in. Example: You decide to live on a dried up river bed even though you know that if and when it rains, the bed will fill up with water. Your friends tell you this will happen, warn you of impending danger, and you say "yes, I know" but continue to live there. Shortly thereafter you and your family are swept away in a torrent of water. Who is to blame? You or your friends?

Deuteronomy 28:31 - NLT
Your ox will be butchered before your eyes; but you won't
get a single bite of the meat. Your donkey will be
driven away, never to be returned. Your sheep will
be given to your enemies, and no one will be
there to help you.

Does God USE Curses to Teach us a Lesson? No.
God uses Curses to Destroy Evil.
Deuteronomy 28:20 - NLT
The Lord Himself will send against you curses, confusion,
and disillusionment in everything you do, until
at last you are completely destroyed for doing evil
and forsaking me.
Note: Only those who practice and are evil and have forsaken God - turned away from Him - will be cursed by God. In this Scripture, God isn't talking about the sin of theft or murder. He's talking about evil - Those who steal without repentance; murder at randon with no conscience or honest request for forgiveness. Those who commit any sin with the intent to harm others and with absolutely NO ATTEMPT or No COMMITTMENT TO
CHANGE!
These are the actions God rebukes and curses. The Evil acts of one human being toward another without remorse.

Is Poverty of God or Satan?
Proverbs 10:15 - NLT
The wealth of the rich is their fortress;
the poverty of the poor is their calamity.
Proverbs 6:9-11 - NLT
But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep?
When will you wake up? I want you to learn a lesson:
A little extra sleep, a little more slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest
-- and poverty will pounce on you like a bandit;
scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.
Note: God is not cursing us, but giving us a warning. Nobody knows Satan as God does. If we let our guard down, Satan will use the opportunity to sneak in and destroy.

Who Takes Advantage of Situations?
1Peter 5:8 - NLT
Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil,
your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion,
looking for some victim to devour. |
