Give Testimonials
We read a lot about the value of putting customer comments in your
marketing materials. Nothing sells better than the words of a
satisfied customer. Prospects really respond to it.
Giving testimonials is also a great way to market yourself-- FREE!
That is a strategy very few people think of. Giving testimonials in
order to get free marketing dawned on me one day when I sent some
nice comments to a software company. They put my comments and email
address on the front page of their website. I get lots of leads from
that testimonial (some people even write to me thinking I must be the
owner of the software firm!).
Offer testimonials to customers who market their own businesses.
Offer testimonials to your suppliers that market.
Send complimenting notes to ezines and newspaper editors. Your note
is three times more likely to be printed if you are complimenting
their work. Also send testimonials to product manufacturers. Be sure
to include your contact info. Many will include it along with your comments.
