prospects. A healthy bottom line often depends on a steady flow of
new customers.
Here are four solid ways to build your new customer list.
Put together a circle of associates in your business and related
businesses. Let them know you are happy to send them business if they
will refer their contacts to you. Simple networking is by far the
most effective marketing tool for small businesses.
Get a web page on the Internet. More and more people are using the
Web like a giant yellow pages. In fact, many now look on the Internet
before they check the phone book.
Run a small classified ad or display ad in a publication or email
newsletter that reaches your best prospects. An ad that keeps
appearing month after month will build customer awareness over time.
Be positive and polite. This is one area where nice people really do
finish first. Word gets around when you are pleasant to work with.
