Find a product or service to sell that fits your personal style. Your own business will likely take a lot more of your time than your old job did. It needs to be something you really enjoy doing.
Choose a business that uses skills you already have. Do you have office or sales skills that you can sell to companies or consumers? Do you like to make phone calls and meet with groups? Or is tweaking a web site and sending e-mail more your style? Avoid programs that sound too good to be true.
